“Your method has transformed my kids’ writing. They are much more confident and writing is no longer a struggle. Thank you so much!”

Live Online Courses

Writing and literature instruction for students in grades 2–12. Students learn how to organize ideas, communicate their thinking clearly, and build confidence as readers and writers.

Foundations of Writing

Students learn The Baran Method through live instruction and guided practice. Then throughout the course, students learn how to move from reading and thinking to producing clear, organized writing.

What Makes These Courses Different?

The focus is not simply completing writing assignments. Using stories, articles, arguments, and other texts, students learn how to identify important ideas, analyze information, organize their thinking, and communicate those ideas clearly in writing.

The method remains consistent across grade levels while the reading, assignments, and expectations become more advanced. These are the same foundational communication and critical thinking skills that support success in high school, college, and beyond.

Separate sections are offered with instruction, assignments, and expectations tailored to each age group:

  • Grades 2–3 Section

  • Grades 4–5 Section

  • Grades 6–8 Section

  • Grades 9–12 Section
