Live Online Courses

Live online writing and literature instruction for students in grades 2–12. Students learn how to organize ideas, communicate clearly, and build confidence as writers.

Foundations of Writing

Students learn The Baran Method through live instruction, guided practice, writing assignments, and instructor feedback. Using The Baran Method, students learn how to organize ideas, connect those ideas logically, and communicate their thinking clearly. Throughout the course, students build the writing skills and confidence needed for success in writing across subjects and grade levels.

Separate sections are offered with instruction, assignments, and expectations tailored to each age group:

  • Grades 2–3 Section

  • Grades 4–5 Section

  • Grades 6–8 Section

  • Grades 9–12 Section

Essay Courses

Students learn how to plan, organize, and write complete essays using The Baran Method. Through live instruction, guided practice, and instructor feedback, students learn how to develop a thesis, support ideas with evidence, and explain their thinking clearly.

This course is designed to help students become confident essay writers while strengthening the critical thinking and communication skills that support academic success.

Literature Courses

Foundations of Literature

Students learn the fundamentals of literature through guided reading, discussion, and instructor feedback. Throughout the course, students explore literary elements, literary tools, figurative language, and literary analysis while developing stronger reading comprehension, critical thinking, and communication skills. Student apply what they learn through narrative, argument, research, and expository writing assignments.
